Shipping and Logistics Coordinator Overview

A new position has become available for a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator with our client, a highly successful company. The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator will be looking after the shipping and despatching of stock from overseas suppliers to retailers in the UK

The duties of the Shipping and Logistics Coordinator will include:

• Being the first port of contact for Suppliers, Customers, Carriers, Warehouse and Merchandiser for Shipping, Customs and Despatch queries
• Organising any late deliveries or early stock by liaising with the merchandisers
• Chasing packing lists and invoices from suppliers
• Ensuring all incoming shipments are as scheduled by liaising with freight forwarders
• Liaising with Carriers and signing off carrier invoices for delivery to Customers
• Customer invoicing for dispatched goods, creating customer order reports and liaising with carriers to ensure a smooth delivery process to customers
• Arranging outgoing deliveries to the warehouse

Additional Information

The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator must show that they are reliable, punctual and approachable for both internal and external communication, alongside excellent organisational skills that can be displayed in a fast-paced environment. The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator must also hold excellent IT skills particularly in relation to Excel

This position for Shipping and Logistics Coordinator is suitable for someone who views themselves as a people-person with good communication skills, and possibly sees themselves in a career within Account Management, Product Management or Logistics.

This position can be considered on a full time and part time basis
